Monetary unit of the Republic of Turkey

Article 1- Monetary unit of the Republic of Turkey is the New Turkish Lira. The sub-unit of the New Turkish Lira is the New Kurus. A New Turkish Lira (YTL) equals to one hundred New Kurus (YKR).

The Council of Ministers is empowered to remove “new” phrases which took place at the New Turkish Lira and the New Kurus and to determine the principles concerning implementation.
